Nuremberg, January 14, 2014 – This year, the renowned company BELECTRIC OPV GmbH and its ground-breaking "Solarte" product line have been nominated in two categories for the GreenTec Awards 2014, Europe's biggest environmental and business awards. The nominations came in both the Energy category and for the Galileo Wissenspreis (science prize awarded as part of a German television show). The flexible photovoltaics of the "Solarte" product line enables completely new ecological, aesthetic, and economical possibilities for the integration of energetically active components into architecture and product design. The products enable environmentally friendly energy production directly where it is consumed.
October, 29, 2013 – Some types of flexible thin-film photovoltaics could leach hazardous amounts of cadmium at the end of their life cycle. The consortium partner University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW is mentioning the SUNFLOWER research project in C&EN journal.
Nuremberg, September 27, 2013 – This fall, BELECTRIC OPV is revealing the latest technological developments in the field of organic photovoltaics. With its 'Solarte' product line, the organic solar panel manufacturer appeals directly to designers and architects. For the first time, a technological innovation is being implemented into a market-ready photovoltaic product. The new product line aims to provide designers with style and design possibilities and open up completely new esthetic, ecological, and economic options for integrating photovoltaics into products and thereby generate energy for a range of applications at the very location they are used. The market launch will take place at the 28th EU PVSEC 2013 (European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition) being held in Paris between October 1 and 3, 2013 (Hall 2, stand B/17).
Winterthur, May 28, 2013 – Fluxim will organize a characterization and modeling workshop at the ICOE conference in Grenoble (France). The workshop will take place on June 21, 2013 at the MINATEC campus. The International Conference on Organic Electronics (ICOE) is an internationally recognized conference where all aspects of this trans-disciplinary domain (Chemistry, Physics, Nano-Science/Technology) are discussed. Fluxim will lead a workshop on multi-scale modeling of organic light-emitting diodes with SETFOS 3.3. In addition, the workshop includes hands-on training with setfos 3.3 and the all-in-one measurement platform PAIOS.
